My take on a yoyo cactus. He thinks I'm crazy, I think it's cute. So am I crazy or not? Another try at appliqué.

Chytayzie 10-01-2017 01:43 PM

I make a lot of yoyos. Your idea is different and looks great. I'll have to try it next.

JustAbitCrazy 10-01-2017 01:45 PM

It's adorable! Don't listen to him. :p

Feathers-N-Fur 10-01-2017 01:48 PM

It looks like a cactus to me. Very cute.

Nanny's dollface 10-01-2017 02:00 PM

I saw a cactus with pink blooms. Thought I would check out my DH and see if it's a "Y" chromosome trend. Well DH sees a Bunny! Lol

toverly 10-01-2017 02:32 PM

Cute Cactus! My husband doesn't always see things either.

Great looking yoyo cactus!

nativetexan 10-01-2017 03:02 PM

Ha, ha. I like it. It's cute!!!

MadQuilter 10-01-2017 03:08 PM

Some guys just lack imagination. That's OK - we see it.

D.Henson 10-01-2017 03:56 PM

It works for me. Cute!

SusieQOH 10-01-2017 04:02 PM

Tell your husband he needs new glasses :D
It's adorable!

BrendaK 10-01-2017 04:28 PM

If he doesn't watch out the spines will get him. This is adorable. Does he know what a catus looks like? Just kidding, you did a super job. BrendaK

rryder 10-01-2017 06:16 PM

Looks just like a prickly pear cactus I used to have. Good job!

Jingle 10-01-2017 06:33 PM

A very cute cactus.

watson's mom 10-01-2017 07:05 PM

It's really cute and it does look like a cactus. This would be a good 'plant' for me as I can't make anything grow. Thank you for sharing.

cathyvv 10-01-2017 07:13 PM

Definitely your husband has the problem, not you!

Boston1954 10-01-2017 07:22 PM

I think it's adorable. Tell hubby to go back in the living room. :)

twinkie 10-02-2017 12:41 AM

I like your cactus.

JanieH 10-02-2017 02:42 AM

Great job - definitely a cactus!

johnette 10-02-2017 03:07 AM

I think it's cute and looks like a cactus. It also looks like a lot of work.

ptquilts 10-02-2017 03:27 AM

I like it!! especially the way the ties look like prickly bits.

Treequilter 10-02-2017 04:53 AM

I seen cactus before I read you post. Good job!

nwm50 10-02-2017 07:00 AM

It's so clear to me what it is! I think it's adorable & how creative it is for you to think this up!

Sneed 10-02-2017 07:07 AM

It's a pretty little cactus, but I'm more interested in the DTQ that is imprinted on your picture. How did you do that?

redstilettos 10-02-2017 08:30 AM

Let him eat crow. We all think it is adorable! :)

Tweety2911 10-02-2017 09:48 AM

I think you are very creative and love your yo yo cactus!

Don't know if it's ok to explain on this site, it's an app POTO that you can add watermarks. I do it because I've seen a couple of my quilts on other sites with no attributions. Flattering, yes, but still.... (It's the initials of my blog.)

llong0233 10-02-2017 12:35 PM

What a swell cactus that is! Using the open side of the yoyo add texture and dimension. Nicely done.

carolynjo 10-02-2017 01:08 PM

In addition to a lack of imagination, add color blindness and you can see what time I have!

lynnie 10-02-2017 01:15 PM

I SEE it, and I think it's perfect. love your fabrics too.
Maybe if you want to, you can add some straight stitch thorns.

sJens 10-02-2017 01:42 PM

that is a cactus for sure --- love it

red-warrior 10-02-2017 05:56 PM

Works for me!

copycat 10-03-2017 02:52 AM

Great job!...you have given your cactus such great detail with the prickly look using thread. Love it!

lass 10-03-2017 03:50 AM

I like it. Good idea.

waltonalice 10-03-2017 06:21 AM

It's adorable. I love my husband's opinion, but sometimes we disagree. You have every right to make something that makes your heart sing.

Sew Freak 10-03-2017 01:05 PM

that is waaaay too cute!!!
