Wow! Great sewing room! Lots of windows too. The chest is nice as well as your built-in cupboards.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful sewing room. Ah, the brick wall with the thread - so pretty. I love the cone holder. And I have a cedar chest in the garage and never thought to add it to my sewing room. Thanks for the idea.

Is that an antique chest in your room? I love it. Also, your sewing room is great. Looks very "user-friendly". Thanks for sharing.

Great idea! I purchased a cone holder many years ago when I was a dressmaker (1970's) and thought that I had lost it over the years. So, when I took up quilting about 10 years ago I bought a new one. It was a piece of garbage! Luckily, I found the old one about a year ago, so much heavier and better quality. If it ever 'disappears' again I will make one like yours!

i like the cone thread holder-it looks like it would work better than the store-bought one i have. I love the cedar chest. i also have one that was DH grandmothers.(actually it's supposed to be my oldest DD. has baby clothes in itnow, but I'll have to give it to her when she wants it. it is a great chest and i just love it. you have a great sewing room.

What a wonderful sewing room. I sew in a basement with no windows. Don't know if it's daylight or dark. If I had a room like yours, I think I'd send out for meals.

My sewing room is also in the basement, but I do have small windows and a lot of light above sewing area. Your sewing room is lovely, I like the hope chest you have.

My hubby made one similar for me too. I wasn't gonna spend $20 on it at the store when I knew he could do the same thing. Works great too, when he made mine he made 3 more and I've given them to friends.
Your cedar chest looks like the one I have that I got from my grandmother when she passed. |
lovely space, love the brick wall too
