hexagons!
 

I started doing these before ever making a quilt. They are 3/4 inch size and I didn't have enough for a quilt so I ended up appliqueing them to a placemat. It was fun! But very time-intensive for a whole quilt.

This is going to be gorgeous when it is finished! a bucket list quilt for me.
