LLWinston44 01-12-2013 10:19 PM

That is wonderful!!! Cant wait to see it finished!!

ScubaK 01-12-2013 10:24 PM

This is a gorgeous quilt.
I would not do a boarder at all except if it needed to be larger for a bed. Even then I would be tempted to just make the quilt larger.
As for quilting...I would not do an all over stipple...but I would do a big wave/flame/swirl pattern.
I would not quilt the individual squares and such because that is too much quilting.

dray965 01-13-2013 05:13 AM

So beautiful. It would even be beautiful if you stopped there and just put white squares where the blanks are now. What is the name of the square?

that is absolutely awesome. great colors

sparkys_mom 01-13-2013 06:55 AM

I had never heard of this quilt so I had to go look for some other examples to be sure how you planned to finish it. Honestly, I think it looks pretty spectacular the way you have it on the design board right now - with the closely spaced squares in the upper left and then the cascade of squares separated by the white squares. It's gorgeous.

kathyd 01-13-2013 07:07 AM

WOW!!! Love your color progression. It looks very spring/easter-ish! Keep up the good work.

Ok, I keep going back to the picture. Is there a pattern??? I think I have to make this one! Can or would you lead me in the right direction? I've been in the mood to scrappy quilt lately, and this is just stunning!
