Thank you, I hope you get that bedroom soon. If you make it too nice for him to stay there..he might never leave..so put him to work, cooking, cleaning, yardwork..you get the idea.

My room is actually the formal dining room. We just gated part of it off, so that little fingers are kept out. I have been needing to expand badly.

We have an old Ikea desk that we don't want in the bedroom anymore, so I am going to repurpose it as a cutting table. I can't wait to not have to drag my mat, material, ruler, blade, etc out to the kitchen.

Once I get the room rearranged, I am going to have to put a new picture up to redeem myself. :)

Ok, Ok, Ok. I guess I first have to explain that we have our house on the market so I HAVE to keep it picked up. I prefer to keep it a bit organized (Yeah, my training is in the legal field too - guess its an "occupation hazard") but I like to be able to find things when I go looking and find it quick so as not to get distracted. Most everything is in hiding in the closet!!!

"Sewing Space" - Notice overflowing stash and finished quilts

Stash behind machines, cutting table with my quilt inspector ion the job!

Books, more storage and my "box" for spraying adhesives for embroidery

You see what is on the computer screen? Yep, the QB!!

I'm almost afraid to open the door - - - - - help!!!!

Oh my! I see mola art on your wall...
I used to live in Central America and spent time with the Cuna women...honest.

Did a bit of cultural polution while I was with them...but I just wanted to sew with them while we were there...spent 5 day weekend holiday in one of thier Neka's...with a real bed to sleep in..while the men went snorkeling for dinner, the women would sit & sew, from the young to the old...

So I pulled out my sewing and sat quietly passing the time.
I bought some from the children, to encourage them...
and while they wanted in the worst way for me to show them how to do English Smocking...I put it away, and asked to be taught how to do what they were doing..telling them I thought their work was much prettier.

Still the damage was done...they had seen embroidery on the surface to embelish. Decades ago...feels like a lifetime ago.

Nice to see someone else appreciates the culture and the art of their Molas.

Must be nice to have a sewing room so big, and all to yourself.

Hey, you can really see your floor. What in the world did we do before the plastic drawers? I am in the middle of putting fabrics on stash tamers I purchased on this site. There is no way I would post a picture of what my room looks like right now. Someone would report me to The Hoarding show.
