It's a perfect picnic quilt. It won't show dirt & you don't have to worry about ruining it.

Sooooo, what is your hubby now wearing? hehe. I think if u put it some fancy quilting stitches, it will turn into a prince!

I think it looks fine. And I'm happy to see that your husband is not shy to wear pink shirts!

If it used up fabric and when it is quilted, it keeps someone warm and cosy, in my mind it is not ugly.

I don't think it is ugly either. Just busy and lots of strong colors.

Your quilt is not ugly, I have seen much worse on the board. I have never seen this pattern before. You keep on quilting and don't get discouraged. i have been sewing all my life and i made a quilt that wasn't flat and made mess out of it and it is a donation quilt. The church is going to think that I give them ones that don't turn out right.

What a great way to repurpose "unwanted" shirts. I just made four quilts for my sister-in-law from shirts and jeans of my brother's, each titled "Hugs from Grandpa". She couldn't part with them after his passing so I made her four memory quilts. Two flannel and two from cotton plaid shirts similar to yours. One flannel was a jean and shirt rag quilt and the second was a variety of blocks with a jeans backing. The shirting ones were a Sun Bonnet Sue and a Let's Go quilt with appliqued airplanes, trains, boats and cars/trucks. She loves them and it cost nothing but time! I think I'll try something similar to yours with the left over scraps from those quilts. Great job and great inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

It's not ugly, you did an awesome creative job using up your husband's shirts. Keep it, and quilt it someday. I like it, it's contemporary, artful & functional. You did an awesome job, give yourself a break because it's 100% unique.
