nygal 04-19-2013 05:52 AM

I love it!!! I should do the same thing on my fence. LOL

cherisews 04-19-2013 06:03 AM

We live in an area with the barn quilt tours. I don't have a barn, or a fence. But I have thought of painting a sampler quilt on the panels of my garage door. So far, I haven't convinced my hubby that this is a great idea. :)

mighty 04-19-2013 06:21 AM

That is cool!!!!

Tell him he needs to keep up with the neighbors, wouldn't they get a hoot to drive through your neighborhood and see that

girliegirl 04-19-2013 06:42 AM

Well isn't that a neat idea! I don't have a barn but i have a garage that I can do one on !! Beings that I was told to remove all my sewing machines from the "Boy's Cave"... they are building a race track for slots.. my stuff has to go.. the nerve of them......

Love it! Would love to put one on the side of my garage that faces my window but doubt the landlady would approve!!

Pollytink 04-19-2013 11:02 AM

Just thought.....if I were in better condition I could get a piece of plywood to paint one on and hang it on the side of the garage!!

wolph33 04-19-2013 11:14 AM

I also do not have a barn and had not thought of painting my fence. Looking forward now to a new project for this summer

rootyr 04-19-2013 11:52 AM

I love it!

SulaBug 04-19-2013 12:20 PM

You might not have a barn, but I think your fence would look terrific if you had a whole row of these lovely quilt blocks painted on them. You can start a new thing here with you great idea.
:D :D :D :D

fred singer 04-19-2013 01:39 PM

awesome job

busy fingers 04-19-2013 01:51 PM

What a great idea to brighten up a fence.

RV Quilter 04-19-2013 02:11 PM

Love your fence! We are planning a quilt square probably on plywood to hang on the fence behind our RV site. I don't think owners would appreciate me painting one on their fence.

Ritaj 04-19-2013 02:32 PM

Cute idea. Wish I had thought of that.

Great idea, I'd love to do my fence between the rose bushes, but I don't know if the neighbors will let me...it borders my lot, but it belongs to them!

jrfair99 04-19-2013 04:49 PM

Love it! What a great idea.

I love this idea - and I DO have a barn..... just might have to go get some paint!

schwanton 04-21-2013 04:43 AM

Great Idea! Our back gate by the garage could use a facelift...and I have leftover paints from a sign....I feel creative! :o

solstice3 04-21-2013 04:46 AM

Sew cute! What type of paint did you use?

twinkie 04-21-2013 05:07 AM

Who needs a barn? It looks great on the fence.

Sew Freak 04-21-2013 05:27 AM

oh....way too cool! I don't have a fence, but I do have a wrought iron table on the front porch. I think I'll have to make a tablecloth for it with a quilting sq of some sort. Thanks for the inspiration!
