Thanks for all the very nice remarks. I was really unsure of how the final project would work right up to starting the quilting.

If you don't have enough you could put a "fabric tie" every other one or however many extra you needed......

I wonder what it would look like if your Dresden points were alternating wide end of the tie and narrow end of the tie. I would have to work on the math for this one to see if you could make it work
