Very exotic! has an indian feel to me. Nice.

sewbizgirl 03-09-2011 06:39 AM

That is beautiful! I love the squares better than the hexagons... That was a perfect fabric for this quilt. Great accomplishment. Sorry you've been sick and I hope things are better for you now.

Vickymomof6 03-09-2011 06:44 AM

It has a very "rich" look to it.

Donna P 03-09-2011 07:09 AM

Para722 03-09-2011 07:13 AM

abc123retired 03-09-2011 07:57 AM

Beautiful! Perfect choice of fabric for Magic Tiles.

eiltcoq 03-09-2011 08:13 AM

McQuilter, It's a very nice quilt. I like the material you used. Do you have a picture of the original piece, before it was cut into
blocks? Thanks for sharing. Eiltcoq.

jdiane318 03-09-2011 11:49 AM

Very ornate and the Asian influence is very appealing to the eye. Lovely work.

KathyKat 03-09-2011 11:58 AM

I love it! It looks like you cut a square from 4 layers of one repeat of fabric stacked, then turn each one to make pinwheel type arrangement. Looks great!

spindreams 03-09-2011 12:00 PM

I have never seen this particular technique. I really like how you have worked it. Beautiful quilt.

Motorcyclemad 03-09-2011 01:23 PM

There is a pattern for this it is called 4 patch stacked posies. The piture of the pattern is not as pretty as this one.

pgthom 03-09-2011 05:04 PM

Wow! I love this quilt. Is the outer border the original fabric? Amazing how it changes when cut and pieced! You can and should be proud!

Nita 03-09-2011 05:07 PM

Nice quilt. Looks alot like the 4 patch stacked posies pattern that I am currently finishing ...... I'm pin basting it and hope to FMQ very soon. I promise to post photos. My main fabric was vegetables .... which sounds weird ...... but it is intersting the way it all comes together in the end. I Found it to be much easier and way more fun than Bethany Reynold's method of Stack & Whack ..... thought I'd lose my mind when I did THAT one! Anyways, good job on your quilt. Thanks for sharing.

lue 03-09-2011 05:36 PM
