thank you all for such encouragement. (I wasn't getting notifications of this thread).
the binding is machiine sewn on the front and I started the hand sewing on the back. I need to move it downstairs so I can work on it on the couch instead of sitting at the sewing table. |

Well, it certainly doesn't show the stress you mentioned in getting it done! it is lovely and the backing fabric really sets off your quilting. Sometimes it is just what we need a break in what we were doing.
