I finally finished the "Drunkard's Path" I've been working on. I know there is a shortcut to the way I was making it, but someone once said if you didn't do a quilt with curves you weren't a "real" quilter. I guess I are one now!! (I really considered myself one before this, but I wanted the challenge of doing this the long way). It's in the washer now. Hurray!!

It's gorgeous! Love the colors. I wish I was that talented.

Yes, very lovely work, great job!

skydiver70 02-28-2011 06:01 PM

Beautiful. I bet doing all those curves made you think you were on a Drunkard's Path, didn't it? I would never have the patience. Thanks for sharing. Well worth the hanging in there.

sandraa 02-28-2011 06:02 PM

This is the prettiest one I have ever seen. I'm going to have to try this one.

I don't know why people make such a big to do over curves. I've done 2 double wedding rings & they have cuves & they pretty well fall into place. Am I just lucky with this? I just never fretted over it! But welcome to the quilters world ! Great job on your quilt & I love the colors

BETTY62 02-28-2011 06:04 PM

I love the color and apttern. Maybe some day I'll get brave enough to try one.

Barb_MO 02-28-2011 06:04 PM

Really nice. That pattern isn't all that easy to piece.

Your turned out great! Love the blues.
I made one in red and white and it was like my 4th quilt, ( what was I thinking?) lol
My lil brother conned me out of that one!

GrannyW5 02-28-2011 06:19 PM

Very nice job!!

Jingle 02-28-2011 06:22 PM

Although I am working on my 83RD quilt, I will never be a quilter if it means I have to make a quilt with circles.

Yours is very pretty.

Luckily before I started this one I saw a show on PBS with "Fons & Porter". They showed how to pin the center of the circle to the other piece then pin both ends. It was slow sewing to ease the curves, but I'm glad I did it.

emmy 03-22-2011 03:41 PM

Love your color choices.
