Nice to offer it to you rather than trash it. I love seeing older things or something not seen before.

A very nice gift!!!!!!!!!! I am thinking of your neighbor going into Assisted Living. I hope there is some way for her to continue enjoying crafty things. I hope I never have to give up creative projects. The fact that she is able to sort out things and prepare for the move indicates that she is still able to be active. My prayers are with her and all of us that we may continue to be of sound mind and able to at least piddle around with our sewing/quilting things.

What a sweet neighbor to think of you and know that you would care for such a gift. Sure gave me a morning smile.

What a priceless gift, especially the Bodkin in the original package marked 20 cents. I have an old needle case marked 10 cents, which I probably bought when I first started to do embroidery, and even though there are not many needles still in it, I am hanging on to it. It brings back wonderful memories of my Mom teaching me to do embroidery when I was about 6 years old, then later on teaching me to sew without a pattern, making aprons and pleated skirts. I always thought it was amazing that she had sewn clothes for my older brothers and sister, making her own patterns. It wasn't until I got into high school Home Ec. classes that I learned how to read a pattern, but those moments with Mom were priceless.
