Hi everybody! I just wanted to show you all my new sewing machine. It arrived today and I have just finished sewing one of my Northern Lights Star blocks with her. I didn't have any problems and it looks like she's going to be a keeper.

This machine is a Brother CS-6000i. It comes complete with the extension table and a hard cover. It also comes with a walking foot and a free motion quilting foot. I am happy! :lol:

I think I'll call her Dulcie. I use to know a woman named Dulcie when I was younger and she was soooo good to me. Hopefully this machine will take after the other Dulcie.

Congratulations. Getting a new machine is such a special event. I got Pfaff CV last year. It is wonderful. I have spent so much time embroidering towels I have't had much time to sew / quilt :thumbup:

Congrats on your new machine! I think a lot of ladies on the board have that machine. It's the one I had before I got the new one I have now. I learned to free motion quilt on it. Have fun!!

Congratulations! You're gonna love it! I have one just like it and haven't had any problems at all, going on two years now. I still haven't tried out all the fancy stitches. It's lightweight and great for bringing to quilting bees and retreats. I ordered mine from walmart.com and it was delivered right to my door within a few days.

I use this same machine daily - love it. Enjoy yours!!

Gosh, my last new machine was about 20 years ago! Still does everything I need, and things I haven'T even tried! But, I would love to get a new one, so much fun trying them out. Glad for you, hope you use it so much you wear it out!! That NL block is beautiful!!

I have this machine and I loveee it

It's good to hear that some of you also have this machine and that you love it. With the bad luck I've had with sewing machines lately, I was afraid that I'd pick a "lemon". I haven't had time to touch her since early this morning but I did get 2 blocks done on it and had no problems. Thanks everybody!

This is a GREAT machine.. I have one warning for you... DO NOT HIT A NEEDLE.. the bobbin housing is plastic and I chipped the housing and had to replace it.. granted it wasn't expensive but having to do without HURT! That is now my backup machine.. my new baby is a Viking Sapphire 835!
