Does the cabinet come fully assembled or do you have to assemble it yourself?

You have to assemble it yourself but the directions are very user friendly and my DH said it was really easy. He was pretty impressed with it.

Maybe I should get another one and put it at Chris' place. Do you think that would make him nervous??

Well I am trying to think WHAT he might think.

Quiltaddict 08-12-2011 11:06 PM

Congratulations. I have that same cabinet, got it from WalMart. I love it.

roxie623 08-13-2011 12:54 AM

I have the same cabinet, actually 2 of them and love em! I'll be honest though and tell you mine never get closed because they are in my sewing room. You can store alot of stuff in the shelf side and the little storage bins on the door are great. You will wonder why you didn't get one sooner.

jeanneb52 08-13-2011 04:21 PM

What a difference! Happy sewing

Challys 08-13-2011 04:24 PM

pjnesler 08-13-2011 06:08 PM

I was wondering how easily it rolls around when you put it away, I am really impressed by all the great posts to this cabinet, and just about ready to get one ordered! Thank you to all!

It rolls pretty easily but it doesn't really have to roll that far when I use it. We bought some of those furniture mover pads to put under the wheels to make it easier to move but ended up not using them because I'm not rolling it that far.

If you are going to roll it to another area of your house every time you need to use it, and it is fully loaded (mine holds my machine and my serger, you may want to use mover pads only because it will be heavier to move and, like with any piece of furniture that is heavy, it can be stressed when moving.

I did have to roll it across the length of the living room to put it in it's new home in front of the window. I did it by myself, no problem.

I have a sewing cabinet just like that that I bought about 5 years ago. Got it at Wal Mart for $99.00. It is nice and handy too.

That is so nice.

How are you doing? Getting about ready to head back to Cali?

Babies in Need so appreciated your donation. They are building a storage area at the church. Then they will have more room.
Look them up when you get a chance.

My DH put it together, he said the instructions were very user friendly and it was really easy. In one of the reviews I read, a gal put it together and she said the same thing.

Jazzmyn 08-14-2011 09:28 AM

I ordered one of these on Thursday from Walmart for 99.00 got the pine one. Told my daughter in Texas about them and she ordered herself one, then on saturday she went to an estate sale and low and behold there set the exact cabinet for 65.00 she bought it and she said it looks brand new, she canceled her order from walmart. What luck, at least she won't have to put hers together. Mine won't be in until the end of the month, which is fine as I have NO idea where it will go.

colleen53 08-14-2011 09:51 AM

You should see my set up in CA, especially after I've finished a project, looks like a tornado went through it and then turned around and did it again! In WA I'm sewing in the living room so have to exercise some sort of control which is a real challenge!

joysewer 08-15-2011 03:15 PM

Great idea!!

GrammaBabs 08-15-2011 03:19 PM

thank you for showing this one.... i used to work in the fabric dept. at walmart and we sold a lot of these... best "bang for the buck" around... showed it to my neighbor on line, she scooped it up.... don't buy it at 169.00.... they mark it down to the 99.00 regularly.... no need to spend a fortune...this is a very good piece..you just have t assemble it....

Bb/rhodo 08-15-2011 03:48 PM

very nice handy as well

Bubblegum0077 08-15-2011 04:38 PM

Oh wow that looks like it works perfectly for you. And all closed up it's a nice piece of furniture. Good choice.

lwests 08-15-2011 07:48 PM

I have that one....had it about 6 years. Bought it at the local Walmart. I was friends with the manager.....he lived in the Apt. across from mine and he had his men put it together and deliver it to me. Love it!

Winkee 08-18-2011 06:45 PM
