I made this quilt while I was going through one of my orange periods. I found the goldfish fabric for the outer border and fell in love with it and pretty much designed the quilt around it. The machine quilting was done with a variegated thread as shown in the detail photo. The appliques were hand sewn.

Is that the most fun quilt. i love that fabric you chose for the borders. It just sets everything off and makes it stunning.

Very innovative quilt, with great quilting. My concern is, if that is a snapping turtle, he will start dining on your beautiful goldfish.
