I had a single charm pack with a couple extra yards of coordinating fabric hanging out in my stash. In an attempt to ignore a WIP I have going I decided to throw together this little table runner.

I have never really given much thought to wholecloth quilting, but after looking at the back of this runner, I'm seriously considering it for a future project. It's just Bottom Line on the back, so I'm imagining how much that quilting would stand out with something like King Tut. I just love the simple effect of the quilting on solid fabric.

Thanks! It was the Mill House Inn collection. I really, really liked every fabric in it. Thinking about getting a layer cake or maybe splurging for a fat quarter bundle and making a whole quilt with it.

CarrieAnne 05-07-2010 05:12 AM

Really nice, I sure like that fabric!

Very pretty & I also like Mill House line. Lots of possibilities. The quilting really shows up on the back & it would be a beautiful design for whole cloth quilt.

Love your table runner and the quilting is beautiful work.
Those DP9 patch patterns are addicting, just yesterday I was looking at some layer cakes I had in the droor for a while and I was thinking..... I could cut them up into charms, and could make alot of DP9 patches and make an entire quilt. I love the colors in your,s so soft and pretty.

MamaBear61 05-09-2010 04:18 AM

Karla--I did free motion it on my Bernina. The quilting is my favorite part so I like these smaller projects that get me to that end point quicker! :)

barnbum 05-11-2010 12:10 PM

Oh my--it's in your blood/genes then. I've been quilting longer than you and mine still looks like my first day! Yours looks like you've been doing it for years!

rather B stitchin 05-11-2010 03:01 PM
