nothing fancy--just the way it should be. Dianne does a great job--no matter what she quilts.

Mark is certain no other husband has recieved a quilt so grand.
I'll get the binding on this weekend.. and sew it onto the back during mare stare--perfect project to do while staring at chubby horses on a monitor.

Dianne can't wait to get her hands on the watercolor floral log cabin.

That pattern is really pretty, or should we say handsome  I love how it looks like streaks of light throughout the quilt. Good job!

sewnsewer2 03-23-2009 06:58 PM

pocoellie 03-23-2009 07:04 PM

Karla--your (I mean, Mark's) quilt turned out so gorgeous!! I love your fabrics and the pattern. And you have it done before the weather is too warm for snuggling. I bet Mark is really excited about it now!!

Rhonda 03-23-2009 07:08 PM

Love the colors and the pattern. I love stars. I am glad to see quilting that is something other than a clam shape or flowing lines. They are pretty but I like the way this one is in straight lines and blocks.

treasurelady 03-23-2009 07:09 PM

Thanks for the pic of the complete quilt. I just set it as my desktop photo. Love it.

Linda

sandpat 03-24-2009 02:53 PM

I did cross hatching by hand on my 1st quilt...it was a queen size Turning Twenty. By the time I finished it...I had a good feel for hand quilting...not that I was good at it...I just had a feeling for it

Riley 03-24-2009 02:57 PM

FABULOUS! FABULOUS!! FABULOUS!!!

Your hubby's quilt is very rich looking! Elegant! Wonderful, as always!

The colors you used are not my "color choice" but when I look at your quilt I think, hmm, perhaps... Guess I'm going to have to expand my horizons again :!:

THAT QUILT IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! Where did you find the pattern? Did the pattern show you how to make the "light/dark" look to the rows???

I remember that floral log cabin...I would like to get MY HANDS ON IT TOOO...but to keep it :)
