I made 3 of them. All flannel.
The original was a kit from Connecting threads. All materials under $100 including shipping. In Canada thats really hard to find. Our local fabric depot had a sale on Flannels so I was able to do two more each under $90.
All of these are destined for my sister in BC who has a B&B.
The original is quilted with leaves, the snow man with snowmen and pairs of mitts and toques, and the winterscenes, an all over meander.

ontheriver 10-23-2011 05:11 AM

Love them, especially the last one with the winter trees. Also love the pads on the floor in front of your frame. What are they and do they help when standing at the frame for a long time?

BizzieLizzie 10-23-2011 05:11 AM

Those are from the local building supply guy. Foam about 1/2 inch thick. Orignially meant for childrens play surfaces I think. They are an industrial grey on the reverse but the crayon colours were so hard to resist. Really inexpensive too.

Phannie1 10-23-2011 05:16 AM

Very nice, indeed! Check out my avatar. It's different because I made my own pattern, but still there are lots of ways they're alike. I love it.

QuiltE 10-23-2011 05:46 AM

QuiltE 10-23-2011 06:03 AM

Just thinking ... MaryKatherine, you really do need to give up that four letter bad habit called "WORK", and re-assign yourself to quilting full time! You are too darned talented to not be doing it more.

mommessy 10-23-2011 06:07 AM

Very nice!

Mariposa 10-23-2011 06:12 AM

You have NO IDEA how much work gets in my way. I'll post some of the ART I've done for her to sell, in a few days, Just finishing one up... AND we went to the Creative Festival yesterday. Its really becoming more of the same thing. I doubt I'll go next year.

Spice Blossom but it's only sold with the kit.

Love the quilts. We have those playmats infront of our machine too. They work great. :)

Long trek if it's not really worthwhile! I went once to the spring one at the International Centre. I wasn't really thrilled ... but then again, I don't enjoy mob scenes, and that's pretty much what it seemed to be! :)

Looking forward to seeing more of your work ...... of course, not as good as IRL, as I was blessed to see some!

Folks .... take a look at MKs avatar ... yes, she made that and I saw it IRL! WOWzers! :)
