Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments! For those looking for the mini-tut, it's on page 4. Here's the link for you: (scroll half-way down the page and you'll see it)

****one thing I thought about I forgot to mention is that the outer edges of the quilt are plugged in with a white 4.5" square where normally a new flower color would start off the beginning of the next row. Therefore, when doing the long vertical strips on the top row of the quilt, you will actually be starting off with 2, not 1, white 4.5" squares. Refer to the outside edges of her quilt pic or mine on the first page to see how we plugged those areas in with a white square. You will probably want to do the same!

****also, the width dimension I forgot to add 4" to so it should be [email protected]"

Am excited about seeing your flower quilt! Be sure and post pics! We all would love to see how you each do them! Your very welcome for the instructions!! :)

OMG, I am hoping everyone can understand them as I just did them so quickly, went back and read them today and ROFL! Step 1 says how to make 1 block. Step 2 says now put 3 rows on the design wall..........hahahahaha.......Step 3 is put 8 blocks on the wall........hahahha.......Oh, it's funny!

Let me say this, it's easy to do the quilt when you make the top row all dark flowers and alternate the next row with med. flowers! That's what I did but should have said that. It does make it easier. Then no matter which way you look diagonally, they are alternated by colors. Of course, looking horizontally, the whole row is either dark or med.

A good tip is to avoid blacks and browns for the flowers and when you get a slight variation between the darks/med., the flowers vibrate better. Darks are ok for the 4P's, but as for the flowers, they throw things off balance.

Another tip is I put kinda busy fabrics in 4P centers to perk up the flowers. You'll find that you'll need to do this too to get those flowers to pop out!

I've learned that working in sections is far better than having to reach so high on the design wall. Sewing the quilt together is much easier this way too! You will have your choice in joining the long vertical strips to the joined blocks either horizontally or vertically -- whichever way you do it is fine!

One of the reasons this quilt will come together so perfectly is the fact that blocks are linked by corners! The only thing you have to make sure of is when the 4P's meet those HST's perfectly! If not, it'll show up bad....lol...

Well, thank you so much, mpeters! You made my day! I sure hope everyone understands my crazy mixed up tut! :)
