Just so you know, I've been back to this post several times, day dreamed, sorted through scraps, day dreamed somemore, and got my ideas flowing. I really appreciate all of the links you provided too. THanx!

Your very welcome, SaraSewing! Hope you are totally inspired and we can't wait to see it! Also, at posts #114 and #115, I included some tips that may be of help when choosing colors. Busy fabrics work great for the flower centers and fabrics that appear to look solid from a distance really vibrate the quilt best. Just put those opposite colors next to each other and you'll have a vibrantly exciting and colorful quilt!

Also, the one done in Batiks, Junk to Gems, is a good consideration too! And it doesn't have to be done with square- in-a-square centers. So happy you are inspired and returning to this post to be reinspired again and again! It's what makes creative juices flow!! Happy quilting to you! n2:o

I think that is Aunt Suky's Choice. I made one for my MIL and FIL for their 50th anniversary. I pieced mine all by hand and had it hand dquilted. That was before there was a longarmer around every corner.

Thanks alot for the instructions
This is a perfect use for all the squares I have left from my Jewel Box. They are all gem-coloured solids or reads-solid, so it won't be a flower quilt.

I'm thinking of controlling the diagonal squares - making them all white - like in Burgoyne Surrounded
