This is a perfect use for all the squares I have left from my Jewel Box. They are all gem-coloured solids or reads-solid, so it won't be a flower quilt.

I'm thinking of controlling the diagonal squares - making them all white - like in Burgoyne Surrounded

This is a great scrap quilt for using those tons of leftover squares we all have and I just love your idea of simulating a Burgoyne Surrounded -- wow! That will look fantastic! The versatility of this block is just amazing of what can be done with it! We look forward to your post! Your very welcome!:o

p.s. thanks, everyone, for your compliments and your welcome for the tut!:)

Do you have an contact for the WWP? A post in Main is asking for a place to send UFOs. I couldn't find an address by Googling it, nor could I put a link to your pthread in my post to her. Gr-r-r-r. Computers.

Yes, here is a good one:

Thank You Quilters
P.O. Box 74
Cedar Park, TX 78630-0764

Here is their link to read the specifics under 'Criteria':

http://www.thankyouquilters.org/indexaaaa.html

(you just might want to go to http://www.thankyouquilters.org as the other link I just tried didn't work. Then click on 'quilt criteria' at the top of page to get the specifics.

http://www.operationwearehere.com/Wo...rySupport.html ***(this one is the best to select the project you want to support)*** This quilt I did went to their Landstuhl Hospital Care Project.org in Landstuhl, Germany, but there are other projects as listed in the operationwearehere website you can choose from. Just click on the URL and you'll get an address.

As you'll notice in the operation we are here site, they take crocheted and knitted items too! Also, some of the projects want red, white and blue only and other projects request any color but NO glitter fabric as it may cause flashbacks for the soldiers. Most request a minimum size quilt of 50x66, but you can read about the specifics at each one. They love getting the blocks because there are ladies who will sew them together.

The Thank You Quilters site have Bernina Sew-Ins where the ladies meet to work together on making and finishing the quilts.

It was hard to find just one address - it's impossible as WWP have many different projects ongoing all year long!!

I hope this helps! I'll provide a link of this page in the Main section for that quilter you mentioned. n2:)

p.s. My quilt was shipped to a store in a mall they rented space in to work on the quilts in Maryland. I can't find that address lol. or remember the city in Md.
