I made a 'hoodie' for my 1920 treadle
2 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
Just thought I'd share this cute little 'hoodie' I made for my 1920 Singer 66-1 Red Eye. She is my go-to gal when I'm in a treadling mood. I found the sewing machine paper piecing pattern on-line and while I know the 'emblem' isn't the Red Eye, I turned a blind eye (and hope you will too :-) I hand embroidered all the lettering and stitching. The bottom area reads 'Charlee-1920 Red Eye'. best, d |

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the machine. She really was one of those diamonds in the rough when we picked her up. This is her picture when I spotted the cabinet in a shop. I had to unload tons of magazines and books off from her to get the cabinet opened.
This pic is looking down on her inside her cabinet. best, d

Wow, you did a great job in cleaning up and shining up that machine, and now it's got a great hoodie!
So cute!! Love it and what a nice treadle!! I have one too but mine doesn't look as good as yours! I have a Class 66 made in the 20's converted to electric and love it!
What a bright, cheerful cover! Love it! I've got to get my red eye up and running. I know she would love a beautiful cover like yours.
What a neat idea. Just darling,
I need to make a couple of these for my machines, sure like yours.
I have a machine just like that (1914) and love it! I need to make a cover for mine - love yours!!
Bright and cheerful. So much better than just throwing a piece of material over it and easy to wash.
very sweet, love it.
Love it, especially your machine.
nicely done!!
Cute cover but I am super envious of your beautiful Red Eye. That is the only machine left that I would love to get my hands on. I bid on a couple on eBay 3 weeks ago but lost out at the end. Love, love your machine.
