Both pics are one mitt - it's double sided. I have the pieces basted for the second mitt, but I got so excited when this one was done that I had to share!
They're fun and easy to make...I smell gift making in these... ;) |
They look fabulous!
|
Very pretty and they'd make great gifts! Good job :D
|
I have a question? Do you make them a certain size? Or do you measure your hand then sew i'd love to make one because all the ones i buy are way too big for me to use.
|
Awesome!

How cute and what a wonderful job you did!!!!

Wow! Terrific...What did you use for lining? Thermolam? or just warm and natural? I may just have to make one...I am giving an apron and utensils for a shower present and this would be great if I matched the apron....

Good idea for the mitt. There's a pattern on the InsulBrite paper.
My sister is going to have a cow! I have all these little quilty things I want to make and no one but me to give them to and I like to share. When I first started to make stuff I told her to just shoot me and put me away if I ever sent her a quilted LAMP! I told her real quilters will quilt anything that isn't nailed down! |
WOW! they really are nice
|
Very cute deema! I guess you and I must be on the same wave length, I cut out some mitts this week too. I have a mccall's pattern I used, but, I made the thumb a little larger and rounder on the tip.
Funny I guess we are just home bodies... LOL! |
Oh no, a couple, now we'll have little ones

yours turned out so nice..the first ones i made, were sad looking..the thumb part, kind of bunched up at the curve..

Oh wow. I just made (short long story) some apron panels for BFFs mother with alzheimer's, but I cut the aprons off just below waist height - BFF uses them as bibs for her mom but they are colorful and pretty and feminine and matronly and not embarrassing -
and the panels had some leftover pretty printed bits as well as some printed oven mitt sections!! I never made them because I thought it would be hard. Now I shall do!! Ok: you have an inner fabric lining layer, 2 layers cotton batting and layer insulbrite, and the printed outer later - Right? And then you trim close to the stitching, clip around the inner and outer curves - Right? I'm so jazzed. . |
very pretty

I made an oven mitt for my friend that is coming to visit me next month.I put a little label inside of it with a special saying so that every time she puts it on,she will think of me and all the fantastic times we had baking together.Great job!!
|
Very nice. I make them without the thumb and put baked potatoes in them to keep warm. Looks nice on the table too.
I am also useing the quilt sample blocks I make for mug r ugs. They make a nice little gift along with a mug, pack of instant beverage, cocoa, coffee or tea. |
that came out soooo nice!!

Those would really be a good gift. Great job. (:
