I think she is worried that the blocks look kind of like the nazi sign.

ok, now I get it! I didn't even notice! It still is a beautiful quilt!!
Thanks for the reply! Renae :D |
That happened to me once with a traditional block, turned out it was pre-civil war and had absolutely nothing to do with the Nazis. Still, it was a bit disheartening, so I understand completely where you are coming from. Then too, it's a beautiful quilt, so be proud of it.

I didn't notice until it was pointed out. I think since we are quilters, we see blocks and not symbols.... Nice job! I love it just the way it is.

Rather than doing extensive ripping, I would do a little camoflage. Since it is for a baby girl, I would take a wide (2" maybe) ruffle of white lace and make a big heart in the middle. One the focus changes, the eye will no longer fix on the overall pattern, but the new one. Your eyes always seem to follow black and white.
You can test my theory by just laying white paper over the top. |
I never would have caught that. Most people probably wouldn't.

I'm presuming "people" are seeing the swaztika (sp?).......if you go looking for something you'll see it in the clouds! I hope that you give your gift from the heart and leave it at that!

Please put us out of our misery and tell us what it is----I can't see it but hey I have mistakes in one of mine.!!!

Oopps just read back and I didn't see the Swastica and still can't ---think you are worrying for nothing, the little girls will love their quilts.
