The fabrics came from various places. The flower in the center was a remnant from Joanne's. There are some garage sale fabrics, and a couple of fabrics from a quilt shop's clearance bin. The outside print is called Santa Fe. I don't know the names of the other fabrics.

Blush... Thanks... The choice of fabrics is a result of being new at this and not knowing what "should" be used. Sometimes I stumble on something that works. :)

Thanks for all of the kind words and name suggestions. I still can't make up my mind on what to name it. I'm leaning toward "Radiant Annapolis."

donnalynett 02-22-2012 09:37 PM

"Even thorns have roses" is what it reminded me of. Beautiful quilt.

BETTY62 02-22-2012 09:44 PM

lfletcher 02-23-2012 05:55 AM

Beautiful. The colors make it glow, so perhaps Glowing Star or something along those lines.

Professionally:

Just call it "Radiance"

alfosa421 02-24-2012 05:22 AM

What is the center flower? Hibiscus? I would call it Radiant (whtever the flower is.) It is simply georgeous

Mkotch 02-24-2012 05:45 AM

"Worth the wait"!!

anniesews 02-24-2012 05:46 AM

Beautiful! I would take 2 years to finish one like this.

nativetexan 02-24-2012 06:17 AM

I'd name it Home Again!! beautiful.

hairquilt 02-24-2012 06:33 AM

Very beautiful quilt-I'm not good at naming quilts either-I don't usually name mine. You will come up with a name yourself-just keep looking at it & thinking outside the box!

quiltingcurious 02-24-2012 07:02 AM

The design reminds me of a Georgia O'Keefe painting.

MissM 02-24-2012 07:03 AM

This is absolutely awesome!

showmehow 02-24-2012 07:27 AM

First thought, Autum Snowflake

Maggiesmom 02-24-2012 07:30 AM

I would just namenit "yummy". Love the colors.

Lady Jane 02-24-2012 07:33 AM

This is such a pretty quilt, I like the way you centered the flower in the middle.

BettyGee 02-24-2012 08:24 AM

I'm with pattypurple, Oh My Gosh! That has to be one of the most beautiful quilts I've ever seen. You have done one amazing job and created a fabric masterpiece. Amazing Star is what I'd call it.

RuthEm 02-24-2012 08:37 AM

Gorgeous Star!!

Jackie R 02-24-2012 10:34 AM

How about Sunset Star for a name?

Jory 02-24-2012 11:54 AM

How about "Fire and Ice?"

Jory

darlin1942 02-24-2012 02:04 PM

How about " Ohio Star at Sunset"? I am from Ohio originally and this quilt is fab. Just a suggestion.

rainagade 02-24-2012 02:04 PM

oh my!! This is great, the first thing that came to me was "snowflake". Then second was "throwing star"

peppermint31 02-24-2012 04:01 PM

no idea for a name but the feathered star is my favorite block. It is very pretty

sylvia77 02-24-2012 05:50 PM

Fire and Ice sounds good to me.

I love this title! Perfect if you ask me.

Mariposa 02-24-2012 06:27 PM

Pretty quilt!

1screech 02-24-2012 06:58 PM

p.s. The pattern for the feathered star is in Marsha McCloskey's Feathered Star Quilt Blocks I book. I designed the borders.[/QUOTE]

I love it. How about "Flower in My Star"

spinnergs 02-24-2012 07:29 PM

Love the colors, great job!

sylviak 02-24-2012 07:50 PM

I'm thinking "Winter Rose", because the eye is drawn to the center flower and the feathered star reminds me of a snowflake. The white around it looks like snow. It's a beautiful quilt and the quilting is very pretty, but that's much too long to "wonder what I should do"!! The only quilt I've ever taken a long time to do was when I had surgery in the middle of it and my Dad died. The customer, fortunately, wasn't in a hurry and I let her know. It was a queen size with a lot of detail.

LETIA 02-24-2012 08:10 PM

beautiful quilt

This quilt is indeed beautiful. Fire & Ice popped into my head but Jory beat me to it.
