I need your advice and help

Hello everyone!
I need your advice and help. On Monday we bought a new dressoir to place next to the front door of our House. The top is lacquered wood so it should be a way for protection. I designed one runner with my EQ7 and finished sewing last night. We show some photos. The top measures 8.25" x 29,25" and each block 6" x 6". Today I have to attend a photography course, but tomorrow I want to do the quilting. Intended to make only a stitching in the ditch, only around the blocks, but it occurred to me that someone could give me some simple idea in this regard. Remember that I only did straight quilting. I would appreciate your help and thank you very much for looking! A large and strong hug! |
I'm no help with the quilting but I love the runner you have made. It's beautiful!

I love it....i know you say only straight stitching - i am mostly the same with my quilts -- but.....i think a stitch in the ditch along the "curved" edges, continuing around the center square, would not be too difficult if you went slowly.... I have stitched around many curved pieces this way and it works as long as i go slowly. With or without this -
Es muy muy bonita !!!! |
Nice. You can do curly quilting on it. Something like this pic. It's a little different in the block shape, but you should get the idea.

I think SITD would be my choice. The pattern is intricate and I wouldn't want the quilting to distract from the pattern. It will be beautiful whatever you decide!

what a wonderful runner

I'd go with circles myself, it would be complimentary to the shapes but still interesting to the eye and bit dramatic in a bold thread. Perhaps a spiral circle design. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!
