I quilted feathers!!! Well not really, lol.
 

Actually my embroidery machine did, isn't she clever? LOL. I purchased an embroidery machine at the beginning of the year and been trying to get used to it, I love it, it is so much fun to incorporate embroidery with quilting. The flower wreath (9'' block) is design by Joanne Winn, and I made three of them and set them on point to make a table runner then used my embroidery machine to quilt some feathers (free design from Designs in stitches) in the setting triangles, I am very pleased with how it turned out. It will go on my dresser when I am using my scrappy reds, greens and browns quilt.

Your work is beautiful. What type of machine do you have? I got a Quattro 6000 last year and my luck, the store closed 6 months after buying it. :( So, once again I am on my own to try to learn my machine. Did you have lessons on your machine to learn how to do this? Or are you just smart and talented.

Those squares are sooo pretty. I am ashamed to say that I've had an embroidery machine for a few years (Christmas present) and have never tried to embroider on it. It's a heck of a sewing machine. Just like those of you who break out into a cold sweat thinking about fmq, that's how I feel about attempting the embroidery. You have inspired me to just do it!

It really takes a lot of practice and I mean alot. I could never see myself having enough time to throughly learn to use an E machine. I think you are well on your way to being a master!
