I saw this on somewhere...

I saw this on facebook or another social media site and remembering the huge box of old thread in the corner, decided to copy it. A lot of the thread was inherited from my mother. The directions were simple and I had everything I needed in a closet in my studio. My husband came in through the front door and was surprised with how cute it turned out to be.

That is sew cute. Would love to make one.

What a great idea for all those old, old spools of thread I have! Very pretty. :)
Great use of old spools of thread. Good news is it isn't seasonal!!! You can leave it up all year
Adorable! So colorful.
very nice..
I love it. I can probably come up with enough old thread from my Mom and MIL's stash.
Very clever, I even see a couple of bobbins in there. But what if just the right color of thread is in the wreath?
that is superb ... let's all know that you are a sewer, if they didn't know it already. I'll have to be on the lookout for old spools and such. Thanks for sharing.

Your wreath is super cute.
I found a quick tutorial for it. This person used wooden spools (200 of them) and used colored paper on some of the spools for a patriotic wreath. I also saw one where the wooden spools had fabric wrapped around them. Here's the link: http://www.craftsunleashed.com/decor...-spool-wreath/ |
Now that is totally adorable! I believe I saw something like that on Pinterest! Great job!
Very cute! Fun idea for those older items, etc. :)
Very cute wreath! Love that website too. Thanks!
I love it and will check out tag sales for spools.
I love it! I'm glad you already had old thread. W/ the price of thread nowadays, that's worth its weight in gold!
That turned out sew great, what a wonderful idea!
Oh, I LOVE it
Really cute and a great way to remember your mom.
How perfect for a seamstress or quilter
Great idea, especially for those old spools of thread that aren't useful for today's quilting.
Awe that is so cute.
Love it! So creative, so cheerful, so quilter!
Home of a quilter.
Love it! Now I want one too

kicking myself now that I let moms sewing basket go to Goodwill. that is soooo pretty I would hang it on the spare room wall |
I saw it on FAcebook too and I believe it was on "24 Blocks". Yours is adorable.
Just precious.
That is adorable! Now when I go junking I will start looking for old thread, I would love a wreath like that on my pantry door.
That turned out really nice.
oh what fun! It sure would brighten up one's sewing room. Thanks for sharing.
That is really cute. If you do not want it on the front door to announce your hobby it would also look cute in your sewing room. Looks like a fun project to do-just might have to try it.
absolutely adorable
That is super cute & even if you had "empty" old spools, you could still make it & spray paint it whatever colour you want & then just add your accessories. Awesome idea for anyone who has a sewing/craft room or studio.
It's very cute. Great job!
I love it! Very neat idea!
