I spy a fantastic quilt!

Call it a "humility block". Long ago quiltmakers would do this purposely to honor God because only he can make something perfect! Even though I'm not the religious type, I'm sure I've got my pass into heaven sealed tight!

Sometimes they show up in a photo. Although I have a couple of quilts (already quilted) that I didn't notice the mistakes despite checking and double checking. Guess it will just give it a unique character. LOL

Wow! Good for you!
|
Whew...glad you noticed it too. Cool pattern.
|
Oh, yes, easy fix. And me, I could not stand it not to be fixed, lol. I would change it.
It really is a pretty quilt, love the scrappy color scheme! |
I am doing one of those too and it is easy to do. So glad you spotted it.
|
Good for you! That would have been easy to miss. I check my rows with a phone photo before sewing them together. Saves a lot of time ripping when I make mistakes. (Which is often.)

It's a design signature!

Mistake in your quilt.
I was getting ready to add my border when I spied this reversed block
The American Indians always put a mistake in their rugs and weaving's, it was good luck.... right in the corner. I am so glad I noticed it now and not later after quilting.
|
