Please excuse the clutter around it. This is currently set up in our weight room. So, as you can see BOB is taking a break on the hack rack. ;)

This is a Design-A-Quilt Model DAQ-555-3. My friend's Mother-In-Law had this machine for about a year. She passed away a couple of months ago. Her husband needed the space and decided to give it to me after my friend mentioning me to him. I am very excited. ;)

It is a short arm machine incase you were wondering. I've never worked with anything like this and am very tickled. :)

Wanted to share my photos with you.

Quilty Hugs,
Angie

Lucky you!

Angie, I have a short arm on a frame, and it has served me very well for 4 years. It does a great job with pantographs (which I see in your picture), and with free motion. I don't quilt for anyone but myself and friends and family, so it is very sufficient for that use. You will enjoy it!!

Wow, how very exciting for you! First off did you think to write a "paper" thank you to the man who gave it to you? Second, good luck learning to use it. Don't stress as you learn to use it. Everything takes time to learn.
Now, go enjoy learning!

I am going to send him a Thank you card...with probably a gift card inside. I have been going back and forth with what to do for him. I am just in awe!

Restaurant gift cards are always a hit with people. Expecially if they're older.

what a great gift. enjoy.

Make him a quilt in memory of the woman who owned the machine. Even if you have nothing of her's to put in it just add that on the label.
