I have a smaller one that I can use on the couch. It's about 16"-18" square. It's okay, and I do like being able to adjust the tension in my piece, but it's difficult to quilt with as I would prefer to "prop" it on something so both hands are more free to work with.

These floor models can be found at my local Joann's, for around $169, I think. I though that was just a whole lot to pay for some PVC pipes, but that's just me.....

If you really like it, then perhaps you need to spread the word --- maybe Santa can bring you one especially from the North Pole for Christmas???

I don't think I can wait that long. Sis says that Hobby Lobby has them, and every other week they have 40% coupons. Will be telling hubby to get less groceries this week so I can have $$ for my new toy.

the Q Snap frames are great. I agree.

Guess I'm the odd "man" out here. I had the floor frame and found it very hard on my back. I also didn't have a spot where I could leave it set up for any length of time. Last year I gave it to a lady at guild who could really use extras in her life. I had tried to sell it, but no one was even interested in my area at $25.... and it was taking up room under the bed! I do use the square and the rectangle lap size Q snaps though & really enjoy them. Enjoy your new toy!

i got a frame like that one i got mine at walmart for about $60.00 and i love it

I got mine at joann.com I waited until they had 50% off coupons so I paid about $50. it is light weight and easy to put the quilt in yourself. when I don't want it sitting out i pull the legs off and leave the quilt in the frame and it fix nicely behind a door or in a closet.

I really like mine too. I'm pretty sure I got mine on sale at Hobby Lobby. I mostly use mine when I'm tying a quilt. I haven't tried to use it for hand quilting yet. It's very versatile. My grandson loves to throw an old quilt over it and make a fort :D !
