The duvet cover I'm making for DD and her SO. Took me forever to figure how I wanted to put the colors together and then I free-motion stitched it all onto a backing for more stability and I still have to attach the back to make it a huge envelope. I'll be so glad when it's done so I can move on to another project.

Love all the bright colors! What a great way to show off batiks! Good job!

Very pretty. Reminds me of a beautiful sunset over the Carribean! I can see how it took a lot of work to plan the colors for the overall effect. Great job.

They've been to the caribbean 3 times so I hope it reminds them of that. That's what I thought of as I was piecing it together.

Wow. I am generally not a fan of batiks but this is totally gorgeous. I love how you laid out the blocks into a sunburst. It's stunning!

Sew beautiful and I've been to the Caribbean twice (third time next month) and that's what I thought it looked like as soon as I saw it! GORGEOUS!!!!

That's an awesome duvet cover...I love the batiks

Wow, it's gorgeous! I have one side of a duvet cover pieced but not sewn together. That happened last Fall, and it got put on the back burner until a quilt I have a deadline for, gets finished. Right now it's in a large ziploc bag. Someday, when I decide on the pattern for the other side, it get's pieced, then sewn into the duvet, mine will be done. But it won't be as bright as yours. Nicely almost done!

It happened about the time thread counts went through the roof. They stopped making percale-weave sheets and charged more more more for 300 - 600 count Egyptian cotton, like no one ever had a good night's sleep on 260 count percale. Don't get me started. |
