I've had that piece of airplane fabric. A couple of years ago one of my grandsons sai: "Grandma, I'd like a quilt out of that". Needless to say, he got a quilt out of the airplane fabric. His twin sister got one out of hot air baloon fabric. You can't give one something and not the other.
I like your really well. So bright and colorful. |
Looks great!! What a special gift you have given to your friend!!!

There is a name for you and your sister ANGELS. The little quilt you made was darling. Great job.

What a great idea... a shower of used items...
I remember back in my university days a friend got pregnant and no one in her family wanted to help her. After her TWINS were born a friend and I went to Goodwill and bought her a load of stuff(intending to tell her that it was some things from our families that they wanted to give her). The manager could see we weren't pregnant and asked who we were buying for. We told her the story and before we knew it we had BOXES of items in the back of Cathy's old Tercel. We went back several times before we graduated and the response was always the same... "What size are they now and take what you think she'll use." Cath moved to Nova Scotia and I left the city too... Gosh those girls are over thirty now! I wonder what happened to them? |
you are very kind and generous, also what a lovely quilt! thanks for sharing
