Imperial Peacock

Used a panel from Equilter and this is what came of it. Had to order fabric from different shops and shopped the local quilt shops as well to get just the right fabrics. The outer border is a Jinny Beyer border print. The person this went to just wanted peacocks and wanted teals, blues, greens. Think this hits the mark. She loves it. Turned out bigger than an anticipated, but will be a nice addition to any room. I quilted it with two layers of batting, cotton and wool. Used a peacock feather panto. The thread is so fine on top and magnifico gold in bobbin.

I have always like the peacock panels from EQuilter and have been tempted to buy one. I think you created a wonderful quilt using the panels and other ideas. The border print is a perfect finish. And, your quilting is just beautiful. I hope you enjoy your masterpiece!

You can't really tell I used the gold thread on the back because the fabric was so busy. I used one of the prints from the front which had the gold on it as well. Hence why I did not post a photo of back.

BizzieLizzie 05-16-2016 11:24 AM
