Update on the GFG it's been almost 2 years, I think I under estimated ;) I still have 10 more flowers to attach.

So far it's been going good, had to find more fabric for the black, but I was able to. All the flowers have been circled in the black, and I'm in the process of joining them with the green.

I have each flower labeled so I know where it belongs in the pattern, so if you are wondering what the white squares were.
I think I will add more black hexes to the edges to make it square, I like the flat sides better than the large scallops.
I am guessing that it will be about nine months to a year, then it will go off to be quilted. (If I try to hand quilt it, it will be 10 years + and don't want to wait that long):rolleyes:

That is so beautiful. I just started on what will take me a long time also using the hexagons. I think how you are encircling yours is really nice. The memories with it all makes it so special. :)
