I'd try a variegated green with possibly red or orange. If you do get some, try them out first on some scrap fabric. I've found some threads look totally different on the spool than what they look like stitched on fabric. My avatar is a OBW with tropical birds and the variegated thread I used, I thought would be more yellow green, but it wasn't that way when it stitched out.

I agree with variegated greens and vines and various flower patterns.

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stunning!
Such a great quilt. Shadow /outline stitching would be nice. In a bright color..... :)
Very pretty!

Dreaming,
I just have to say, that is way toooo beautiful to stay a UFO! What gorgeous fabric to use in that pattern! About the quilting, I have two different quilters that I trust to choose the perfect thread and quilting design because I don't have the "eye" for that yet. Please let us see it after it has been quilted! |
I like sahm4065's suggestion!
I vote variegated greens. Your quilt is beautiful.
How big are your triangles in the blocks? It is beautiful!!!!
It's beautiful!! I have made the same pattern and I like the way an overall meander sitch looks on this pattern. You could use a verigated thread to pull the color into the black. Great quilt.
Your second close up with the purple flowers in it I would do the large tropical leaves I would use black thread on the black spaces. This would not be a pantograph. There are quilters on this board that love to do trades! Maybe you have something you'd like to trade for the quilting. I think your quilt is so STUNNING you need to have it finished with the perfect quilting. I usually like stack and whacks but yours IS GORGEOUS!!! I love how you did the border too. I am trading Charismah's quilting for mittens, so you never know what is trade worthy!!!

Beautiful quilt!

That is beautiful and it makes me want to get my OBW blocks turned into the planned table runner and place mats.
I have to finish up a baby quilt first since the baby is due soon and the OBW blocks are made from Christmas fabrics for myself. |
What kind of pattern is that? That is so cool but it looks hard to me. You did a good job.
Maybe the background. It looks like navy? Or is it black? I love your Stack n Whack. I have gotten hooked on them lately. The 60 degree triangle, I have made 5 in the past month and love everyone. Such a surprise with every single block.
Your fabric made a beautiful stack and whack. How about using a varigated thread with some of the colors in the blocks. I had one of my s & w's quilted with 3 different sizes of circles in the block then she free motioned a different design in the back ground. Thinking you could use the variegated thread on the black too!

That is a very beautiful quilt. Very beautiful.
Your quilt is superb any quilting can only enhance it
I say varigated purples.
It is a beautiful quilt too. |
Gorgeous top. I would go with PaperPrincess and choose either a metallic gold or silver in medium sized meander.
I'd choose a variegated thread of greens, blues, yellows and oranges - beautiful job!
Love it, love it, love it! Good luck with the quilting.

I absolutely LOVE your fabric and your quilt!! You did a great job. I think a variegated green thread would be awesome for the quilting. Sorry, but I have no clue about a quilting pattern. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous!
I would use green since it is a dominant color in your quilt which is very stunning!
Gorgeous. I love stack and whacks.

It is lovely, especially on the black background. It really brings out the colors.
Beautiful work! I'd quilt in black.
WOW, that is beautiful, I think I would do a neon green.
Varigated brights (yellow, green, blue and purple) in the black tiles. Glo-in-the-dark in the stack and whacks.
Yuor quilt is beautiful !!!! I love the black background.
Beautiful quilt.
That is stunning.
Take a look at King Tut's Cairo. It's a veriegated with purple, lime green, aqua, and blue. I love how the veriegated threads stand out against a dark background.

This sure catches my eye. I love it. Such beautiful colors and the end result is stunning. Good luck on your quilting. I wish I knew how to do machine quilting.
I would think a varigated. Love the quilt. Very nice.
