Don't like clear thread so not sure what color to quilt this tabletopper

How about checking for a nice varigated. I have a spool that has many of those colors -- and I would use it both on the front and back.

Very pretty! Did you design it or is there a pattern out there someplace? I have the tool to make those folded back sections, never used it.
