I love most batiks but not that one. It's a bit too loud for my stash - although I like the rest of the grouping below it!
oops - double post
I couldn't imagine what you meant. However I can't see the big photo for some reason.
I like it
Ummmm....don't think I like it. I am not a fan of high contrast pattern batiks.
I love it. Where can I buy it?
It would not be something I would purchase on speculation , I would have to have a very exact project in mind to accomidate that fabric.
The I do not like to work much with the really large scale batik motifs, plus the colors are for a very specific person... I would not try to use it in a quilt intended for a gift.... |
Limited market, I personally would buy it as I make alot of Hawaiian flowers, like bird of paradise, and it would work for that.
Definitely different; but certainly has potential. Something tropical maybe.
I like it, any batik is great
I love it---but I loves those colors!
I like it.
have you ever made a quilted sweatshirt jacket? The big pic would be perfect for that.
I love batiks and the ones in the small pics are nice. I do not like the first one, mainly because of the green.
Well, it woke ME up!!!! ;-)
I LOVE IT!! The really bright wild ones are my favs!
Do not care for it.
I would only use that to make a sarong type beach wrap and maybe a matching floppy hat... not sure how to work that design into a quilt ATM...
I like it and would use it.
I wouldn't buy it.
On certain things it could work. Would have been good when I did my tropical fish!
Looks like it could work quite nicely in a "parrot-head"
quilt. |
OK, I agree, this would be either a very specific theme or scrappy quilt and now that I've read all the posts, I noticed no one mentioned using it in an african themed quilt. I can see the bright orangey batik used as a background with black animal silhouettes or huts seen along the Rift Valley or in Lesotho or where I lived in Swaziland, or with every other color and pattern you find in your stash: scrappy. It might also look good in the "think inside the box" posted earlier because it would be bright and pieces would be small.
It reminds me of pineapple chunks, and I am not a fan of pineapple. Sends shivers down my spine, both pineapple AND the fabric.
It is truely ugly in my opinion and I am a batik lover.
Not my bag.
It's a BATIK...what's not to like! I'd buy a yard just to look at it.
Very bright, vibrant and exciting. Not sure I'd use a large piece of it, but smaller pieces sure would spice up a project. Probably would buy less than a yard of it.
I do not like the first one love the ones under it
I love it.
I like it. I think it would be great for a tote bag and would also be really nice in a bright cheery quilt. I like bright colors and batiks so this is a good one for me. :-)
Good in small pieces ; would be the "pop" fabric in a multi-Bali quilt.
I really like it and would definitely use it.
Living in a warm country, I like the bright colors.
I do not like it

Na, I would pass this one up. For me it is to rigid looking, not enough "fluff"
Would also be a great binding on a quilt made with the other colors.
