can't say I would buy it

islandboundquilting 04-01-2011 02:34 PM

I have yet to meet a batik I didn't like. Sometimes the wildest fabric makes the perfect fit. You never know I would get at least a little bit.

Tweety2911 04-01-2011 02:46 PM

I wouldn't buy it, it is pretty but has limited options.

Marilynsue 04-01-2011 02:51 PM

Interesting.....I like it, but how much I would use in a quilt depends on the pattern I'm doing.

libthekwltr 04-01-2011 03:58 PM

I LOVE it! As several have already stated, I love batiks; I especially love brightly colored batiks, so I'd definitely use it with a smile on my face!

sammy89 04-01-2011 03:58 PM

love them all

desertrose 04-01-2011 04:03 PM

It may work in certain applications but I wouldn't buy it for my stash, soorry.

desertrose 04-01-2011 04:03 PM

It may work in certain applications but I wouldn't buy it for my stash, sorry.

Mitch's mom 04-01-2011 04:33 PM

I don't hate it. The design looks somewhat like candy corn on crack. It would make interesting HST's.

JudithAnn 04-01-2011 04:35 PM

I love it!!!! I would FIND a use for it! It makes me smile, so I would buy it!

Linda1 04-01-2011 04:44 PM

I like it. I heard a quilter say on Simply Quilts once if you cut any fabric in small enough pieces it would be pretty. I wish I could remember her name. She was very funny.

allie1448 04-01-2011 04:47 PM

I love it!

NCquilter 04-01-2011 04:49 PM

I like it! I love brights

Carol Sheldon 04-01-2011 04:57 PM

I would bleach it in the washing machine. It will tone it down.

babyfireo4 04-01-2011 04:59 PM

not my cup of tea, but it could have it's uses.

lue 04-01-2011 05:33 PM

I love bright colors and I really like this one. Wold make a cute kids' quilt with greens and oranges. Did you buy it?

wolflady 04-01-2011 05:36 PM

I am not fond of it, but that is just me.

I didn't order it. I was chicken! I ordered the coordinates, except for the decidedly orange one. (Those of you who have been voting on the yellow batiks... the two yellows shown here are #2 and #3 and yes I will also be ordering #5.)

But... the collection shown here will not be available until late May, anway... perhaps between now and then the sales rep will come by, and I could see it in person. I'd feel better that way.
'Course, it's happened before that folks on the forum have caused me to change my mind...

pjnesler 04-01-2011 05:54 PM

Wouldn't buy this one, but if it somehow ended up in my stash, I'd sure find a way to use it up! The other samples are beautiful, lots of uses for them ;-)

Interesting, but I don't know that I'd ever find a use for it.

d.rickman 04-01-2011 06:57 PM

It shows a lot of light, and would be nice in the right quilt and color combinations. I'm partial to all batiks and can envision it would bring life to a quilt.

meant2be 04-01-2011 07:25 PM

I wouldn't buy it. It could be attractive if used as small pieces with other fabrics.

1screech 04-01-2011 08:15 PM

I absolutely love it. If you mixed it with oranges and yellows and reds, it would look like fall.

montanajan 04-01-2011 08:19 PM

Interesting, almost looks like old style hair combs (Oriental) or else tropical.

JoAnnGC 04-01-2011 08:32 PM

I can see this batik working very well for summer quilts. It really has a sunshiny, beachy feel and would look great with yellows and oranges. Think tropical!

Momsmurf 04-01-2011 08:51 PM

It would make a great focus block or wide border. Chopping it up would take away from it I think.

Me too. I'd buy it. Love the contrast.

I love it, but then I love bold bright colors.

jpthequilter 04-01-2011 10:57 PM

I like the pattern in it, but not the yellow color. Maybe two shades of red instead?

juneayerza 04-01-2011 11:13 PM

I wouldn't "just" buy it, it would have to fit for a project I was working on.

virgwid 04-02-2011 01:03 AM

I love the ones below it. I am afraid I don't have enough experience to feel comfortable buying it without a very specific use (that someone else has probably shown me!)

auntdeb 04-02-2011 06:26 AM

I like it a lot. Honestly would probably be "as needed" buy though.

chickadeee55 04-02-2011 07:01 AM

For some reason it reminds me of candy corn, must be colors and shapes. I would pass, but I like candy corn.

Pieceful Quilter 04-02-2011 07:45 AM

Not my favorite...

Patricia Ann 04-02-2011 08:21 AM

Don't like it

Joyce Ann 04-02-2011 09:43 AM

I love color and I would buy it

dutchie 04-02-2011 11:30 AM

I'm a fan!! Loud is good! :)

Flugiepoo 04-02-2011 03:21 PM

I find this to be very interesting in deed. Would love to mill it around in my brain and see what pattern it would fit...you might just be surprised....
