Thanks for posting those great blocks! Most of all, a great big Thank You to those who painted the blocks, they are truly a work of art!

bet that was near the Kalona, IA exit--Don (ISew) would know. Very cool--wish I had those tiles in my bathroom!

What a unique idea for a rest stop. Love them - thanks for posting.

Quilting is big here.
Wish we had something like that |
Just came S. Carolina, went through N. Carolina, at one of their welcome center rest stops (don't know which-wasn't driving, I watch scenery) they had some beautiful quilt block tiles hanging inside.

Wow. I have traveled I80 in that part of the state many times and we have never stopped at that rest area as we try to make it to Galesburg, IL when we are eastbound and stop at Walcott when we are westbound. Might need to make an extra stop next time.

lol You wish you could get points like that! lolol That's funny.
Besides Drunkard's Path, Jacob's ladder was a little strange. And a circle in the middle of Bear's Paw! :-) I agree, the story behind choosing those decorations might be an interesting one. |
LOL I guess we Iowans don't need to stop at the rest stop as we head out of state. I've never stopped there either.
givio, I think some of the distortion you see is the camera flash off the tiled floor. |
