Thank you for the nice comments. I was afraid that the white in the trellis would be to much of a contrast against the previous border. But with the flowers, I think it will flow nicely. I love the trellis look. I "stole" the idea from MaryQuiteContrary.

Hi Ducky,
I really really like it, I think you did an outstanding job on it, thank you so much for all your hard work & time.

SazuBMidlands 04-14-2010 02:02 PM

Woohoo, packaged up and ready to go tomorrow - right on schedule :-)

Ducky 04-15-2010 08:13 AM

Well, today is the official day for sending. I'm still hand stitching flowers on buddy'smom's, but it should be in the mail by Monday.

Just a reminder to everyone to please post a message when you receive your next round.

Beautiful work so far!!!!

Well, I'm done! Only a day late, but it will be in the mail first thing tomorrow. Apologies for not being on time.

I have to say, this border nearly beat me, it was a lot harder to put together than I thought it would be. I had to block it when finished, I'd lost nearly a whole half inch somewhere.

buddy'smom 04-15-2010 05:00 PM

Awsome Bluechicken, great job!!!!

mamabird3 04-15-2010 10:01 PM

Its looks perfect.

SazuBMidlands 04-16-2010 05:17 AM

Ducky,
Not sure if you want to hang on to it for another week or so. With all flights grounded over here my guess would be that parcel flights are affected to, and once flights start up again there'll be a huge backlog to deal with. Might be safer if you keep it and send it to me late, rather than risk it getting lost. Let me know what you decide, but I'm quite happy with it being late.

sandpat 04-16-2010 05:30 AM

Blue....that border looks wonderful!!! AND HARD to put together!! Thank you for blocking....its amazing how easy it is to loose square isn't it?

Sazu...thats a great point about the flights....darn volcanoes...don't they know its mailing time for the IRR's???

Y'all are amazing.. the creativity is simply mind boggling.

I didnt even think about it before I posted mine out yesterday. Stupid as it sounds I kinda forgot that its not just passengers that go on planes... Just praying both get to their destinations safely.

I'm currently hoping my funky chickens will be ok without food too...

Ducky 04-16-2010 12:34 PM

Thank you, Sazu, for bringing that to our attention. I will hold on to it for a week or so. We'll see how things go out where you are.

Blue, your border is amazing looking. It's perfect for the center and it's soooo pretty!!!

BlueChicken 04-26-2010 03:49 PM

Well, I hung on and didn't post the parcel because of that volcano that no one can pronounce. I thought about just posting it, but couldn't help thinking with the sheer volumes of mail that will be piling up things were more likely to get lost.

We had a friend stuck in England who was unable to get home, so I set in my mind that I'd post a couple of days after she managed to fly out. And now she's home, so I'm popping it in the post today. Fingers crossed, the worst of the backlog from here is over and it will get where it is going without delays.

sandpat 04-27-2010 05:24 AM

I think that was plain ole good thinking Blue. The ones mailed prior to the volcano eruption are now beginning to show up and I hope nothing got lost in the "pile up". I can't help but think that the mail was piled higher than the planes were stacked.

Ducky's has arrived! It looks stunning, absolutely gorgeous, I should said it didn't arrive then I could have kept it. ;)

Already have a rough plan of what I'm going to do.

sandpat 04-30-2010 05:02 AM

Yea!!!! It got there!!! Oh Blue...we would have come over to look in your nest up under that big blue chicken butt of yours.... Then we could see what you are really hiding up under there....
