I've been known to buy an item for a pattern. Bought a real cute crocheted doll cradle that closes up to a little draw bag to carry the dolly easily.

I think you got a pretty good deal for $10! Let's see - 2 towels - probably at least $3 each; 1/4 yd fabric,say $2; 1 yd lace - maybe $2; about 2 yds ribbon,another dollar. I'm counting over $10 just for supplies! Plus a free pattern! And that's not including her labor and the cost to rent the booth.

I used to have one like this. The apron hid a big pocket for potholders and stuff. (There is always stuff.)

I used that thing until it fell to pieces. The lace disintegrated first.

Your oven towels are cute. I received one years ago and it has since wore out, but it was very useful and decorative at the same time
