According to the Singer website, the serial number indicates she was made in 1951. I emailed Singer to get the exact date, but haven't heard back yet. There are several bobbins, wooden spools of thread and she sounds so smooth when I press the pedal foot. I'm going to do a Grandma's fan using 1930's repro fabric once I get her looked at and serviced. I'm so excited, I could hardly stand myself. Thanks everyone for looking and the wonderful comments..

On the Singer website if you go to the second page it will tell you the specific date and location that your machine was made at. Congrats I just got my first Featherweight about 6 weeks ago and I love it. They are sooooo cool.

I went to the website and mine was made on October 31, 1951 and according to the information only 50,000 were made.
I can't wait to start sewing with her, but I might have to give her a good wipe down. You know ladies and gents, I will be asking a lot of questions about my new baby and I know everyone who has one these little ladies will be able to help me. I really love this board and all of the great advice and tips everyone has. Of course, the quilts and everything else sewing is just as great!!! You folks are truly an inspiration to me and my new found love of quilting and sewing!!! Thanks so much!!!
