since i've been to the east coast. I had forgotten how the "white noise" of the ocean sounds. I'm greatful my feet can take me down to the oceans edge to see what unusual objects I can find.
This is another version of a self portrait mug rug, i had fun doing this for a swapper that didn't get hers! Yes those are my real toes, took photos and drew them on fabric. my toes havent been polished since last summer i'm planning another swap soon, maybe you'll join in |

The self portrait mug rug swap we just completed format was the size of a sheet of paper 8 1/2" x11". I also have under my topics a self portrait tutorial and pictures of other participants in the swap. This piece is made with 100% cotton fabrics, I used a polished cotton for the feet, the new Sharpie stain pens for details on the feet, since i like to recycle I used some broken jewelry on the sea shore and a clear upside down button for the jelly fish. I free motion quilted the sandy beach and raw edge applique all pieces added. Nice manicure! You really have captured life at the seashore. Although I'll tell you that when that "white noise" turns to a roar in hurricane season, it can be a wee bit unnerving!
