Over a weekend in November, I decided to make a couple of quilt tops out of cat material I had in my stash. They are both from the book "Sew One and You're Done". I have no idea yet where they will end up or with whom. Just had to make them.

Beautiful quilts - love the cats. I have the book so you are motivating me. I'm a cat lover, 5 of our own and adopted 5 more whom were strays and those left behind when their owners moved. Cannot wait to move out into the country so they can have more room to roam.

Ah your Cat in the flowers brought tears to my eyes. That kitty looks just like my Taffy. I had her from a kitten till she was 17 years old, quite old for a cat. When she died, in my arms, we buried her in my garden beside the pond where she always loved to play and act like the mighty huntress. She was the sweetest cat, and never scratched or bit the kids, even when they were dressing her in doll clothes and pushing her in the dolly stroller. When she had enough, she just jumped away and went under the bed.
Thank you for fond memories from your adorable cat quilts. I love both of them, but of course, especially the cat in the garden one. Thanks so much for sharing them. Hugs and smiles, |
