It's Not a Crib Quilt Anymore...

I started this thread when I had put together a bunch of rejected audition blocks: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t173278.html It was a crib size, and I asked if it would be appropriate for a baby.
I had some fabric left over and decided that I would put a scrappy checkerboard border around it to make it into a lap-size quilt. I'm going to put it over my couch in the living room. The blues match my wall pretty well. This is the first quilt that I did all of the quilting on my domestic machine. It's mostly stitch-in-the-ditch, but I did timidly venture into a bit of free motion. The vine was fun to do. I may try feathers on my next quilt. :) |
THAT my dear, is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! WoW! Love the colors you used and the way you put it all together...it would have been such a waste in a crib! Love it on your sofa!

I really, really like it. Pretty design too. You did good! Barny

Wow!! Your quilt is great. I love the way it is off balance in design. It almost looks like a huge compass in the middle of a group of constellations. Great design. Your quilting is great too. Congrats!

I'm glad it found a home on your couch ... it is a beautifully creative pattern in superb colors and the stitching is fantastic!

It turned out great but i'll bet that baby is going to be cold without a quilt.. LOL
