I have my Granma's treadle, an old "red Eye" 1919. Its 9 years shy of 100. If I had you re-do it would I lose the "Red Eye" or could the machine maybe match the "red Eye or just black.

All I could do is paint it what ever color you wanted and go from there. Billy |

I promise to get out there tomorrow and finish the machine (I just have to polish the bobbin winder and faceplate) and I will list it. Billy |

Okay here it is in all of its finished glory!
Next stop the sale section.  Billy |
So beautiful!
You talked about setting it in the sun to bake... how do you keep bugs off of it? Reason I ask is we had a truck repainted one time and when we got it back there was love bug imprints all over it! Have you done a Singer 301 yet? |
What I do is after it cures to the touch I then put it out in the sun to help flow the paint and makes it easier to buff out. But on sewing machines I never have to buff them out since they are so small and I can spray it really wet.
But all the cars I have painted I do that to and it makes life a lot easier for me. Billy |
