This is what I've been doing for the last few days. Some one made a posting about cleaning up their room and had a video on how to fold fabric... Well, dont get me started ...

Tomorrow, I'll be making a list of all my UFO's, not too many thank goodness and three new items I want to start.

The day after, the gentlemen in the white coats will be coming to carry me away hah hah

Jim's Gem 01-07-2010 04:34 PM

Looks great. So much easier to find and start a new project when you can see what you have!!!

BKinCO 01-07-2010 04:35 PM

Well, it looks awesome AND I'm jealous :)

NorBanaquilts 01-07-2010 04:35 PM

If I change the name of my PDA back to "MadQuilter's Asylum" you could come over.

Blue Bell 01-07-2010 04:58 PM

Very neat. You have great organization skills. Can you come and help me?

bebe 01-07-2010 05:01 PM

great job lots of pretties in there

Pats8e8 01-07-2010 07:54 PM

Gee, you mean you're not supposed to put your fabric in plastic bins stored in the barn? Whatever will I do? Honestly though, I bought an Accuquilt and hope to take a lot of those bins down and start cutting strips and squares and even drunkards path pieces.

amma 01-07-2010 08:18 PM

Sheree from Chicago 01-08-2010 02:19 AM

Great job! Isn't it nice to be all organized? Now to just sit and ponder all the possibilities!!!!!!!!!

rootyr 01-08-2010 02:50 AM

Very nice!

Bevanger 01-08-2010 05:31 AM

looking good

Elisabrat 01-08-2010 05:35 AM

oh I am envious.. blenders! I never buy blenders.. when I get to shop I am so drawn to the feature fabrics I forget to stop for the plain ones to make the features pop out. I would never leave my sewing room with that collection. And its so neat! anyone touches it they could lose a finger! chomp!

Piedmont Quilter 01-08-2010 05:38 AM

My! How busy you've been. It looks great. Can't wait to see the UFOs you finish now that you're organized.

MNQuilter 01-08-2010 06:07 AM

So pretty! If I had all that wonderful fabric, I'd never leave my sewing room!

grammy Dwynn 01-08-2010 06:13 AM

one of these days I should clean my room as nice as yours, but for some reason the projects keep piling up .... so I sew and sew when I should clean and organize. :(

Barb_MO 01-08-2010 06:21 AM

You have done a great job of organizing you fabrics

sandpat 01-08-2010 06:24 AM

Well...I'm just plain jealous...of your organization, of your room and of course of your fabric!!

DeniseB 01-08-2010 07:20 AM

Wow, it all looks great. you have inspired me. this weekend i think i'll start on my stash. got to find that video again .

thanks again.

RJ 01-08-2010 07:39 AM

I thought part of starting a quilt is digging thru endless piles of fabric looking for the *perfect* one to use that "I know I already have" LOL LOL

Candace 01-08-2010 07:49 AM

We've got those same Ikea drawers. My daughter has them under her desk. I would love open shelving like yours but the light in my sewing room may damage the fabrics. So, I'm on the hunt for wall hung shelving with doors.

Ditter43 01-08-2010 08:07 AM

Oh you bad girl....make me feel like I should get busy. I have my "stuff" spread through two rooms. I have been slowly moving everything back into my origional sewing room, but working on my present project has taken all my time  Soon....I will do it....soon , sigh

Looks tooooo clean and neat to be a sewing room! :-) I get some of my best ideas as I stumble thru my stash, looking for that "perfect" fabric.

thequilterslink 01-08-2010 11:44 AM

Your room looks so beautiful. I find that after I clean I don't want to mess it up, so I don't go in the room.......so I figured out that that is why I don't clean.
That sounds right, right???

Quiltin'Lady 01-08-2010 11:58 AM

Wonderful organizing! I, too, got bit by the "folding" bug and I have to admit that it was a pain in the process, but the outcome is soooo nice!

LOVE all your "rainbow" fabrics, too! Any idea what you'll do with them? I'm still collecting mine in anticipation of finding just the "perfect" pattern....

Nice job! :)

*QuilterWannabee* 01-08-2010 01:59 PM

Oh so neat and tidy, good for you! : ) Isn't it nice to look at when it's all in order?

sewNso 01-10-2010 03:26 PM

you know, some one could make a lot of money off us quilters, just organizing our sewing rooms. do you think we could afford it?

craftiladi 01-13-2010 06:47 AM
