I posted a mug rug the other day using the tiny twister ruler. It uses 3 1/2 inch squares. This is what I made tonight using the Itty Bitty Twister. It uses 2 1/2 inch blocks. I'm going to put a pin on the back of this and use it as my name tag at quilting events and when I'm teaching. Finished size is 4 1/2 x 3 inches. I included a picture of both rulers with my hand so you can get a size reference. I love these little rulers!

Itty Bitty Twister and monogram name tag.

How cute! I just bought the tiny twister along with a pattern for a twister Christmas wreath. It's nice to see a finished project - so I gain confidence to tackle the wreath wall hanging.

I love those itty bitty Twisters. I got a ruler but haven't used it yet, thanks for the idea, I need a name patch for my guild meetings.

Love the twister. I bought the medium one at a show two years ago and just bought a big one that cost $20. Nice idea u had and is so cute.

QuiltDraggon 08-04-2011 09:18 PM

I started with the largest which uses the 10 inch squares, then went to the smaller which uses the 5 inch squares and this week went to the smaller two which use the 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 inch squares. I have twisters on the brain recently it seems. I have at least three projects planned for these rulers already cut waiting to go. As hot as it has been here in Mississippi there isn't anything I'd rather do than sew so I guess it's okay I have projects lined up...

Hello Quilt Dragon in Jackson (used to live in Greenwood), your work is very special...love it. Shopping for the rulers. Haven't found yet.

stormatsea45 08-05-2011 08:00 AM

I have the squares sewed together for the itty bitty, but g-kids were here and haven't gotten back to start the cutting. I had never thought about a name tag, but that would be a wonderful idea! Thanks. Great job.

Well they don't make it easy to find the rulers! they are available from Primitive Gatherings. They are in the pattern section, not with the rulers. Make sure you select "Pattern" and not Kit. I looked at this site for days trying to find these things. Finally found them. They do ship very promptly!

Those are the two larger ones. I used the very smallest on this project.

Gramof6 08-05-2011 11:14 PM

Ohhhhhh I just dearly love this!!! You really did a great job and the fabric choices just set it off. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

AKDaffyodil 08-05-2011 11:29 PM

Very cute! I've made a couple Twister things with the 5 inch block tool. I didn't even know they made the smaller ones...must look for them!!

BMP 08-06-2011 04:03 AM

Whats the measurements on the small one how far from the corners are the markings for the X.... I like doing these and would like to make some smaller projects. It looks like a1/4 inch by looking at the picture ??

stormatsea45 08-06-2011 08:53 AM

You inspired me and last night I cut the squares out using the itty bitty ruler (also caught my L index finger, still oozing this am and hurting  ,last night and sew the rows in one direction and pressed the seams open. Hope today I will be able to finish the top. It's 10" I think finished. I used Kansas Troubles fabric and it is going to be so neat. All of them were scraps except the border and the binding. I was at my daughters and I didn't want to use any of her larger pieces so just got a FQ at the LQS. The pattern said to use a small rotary cutter so at first I was using the 18 mm, too small, moved up to the next size and it was great. FYI :) Minis are so much fun!!

shemace2901 09-10-2011 01:37 PM

Thank you for posting pictures of the templates and sizes, I am trying to make my own itty bitty template and this helps a lot.

Jennifer22206 09-10-2011 01:39 PM

wow - so tiny!!

Connie in CO 09-10-2011 01:48 PM

The next to the smallest the line is 1/2 from the corner and the template is 2-1/4.The fabric is 3 1/2" squares. Is that the one you want?

Connie in CO 09-10-2011 01:50 PM

The Bity one is 1-1/2 square the mark is at 3/8,Fabric is 2-1/2...

BMP 09-10-2011 04:38 PM
