I've been busy for the past month

I was asked to make two quilts on January 15 th, needed by February 20 th,.... with my crazy work schedule, 2 jobs and family things happening it was a stressful adventure. I just finished quilting the chief- couldn't get a ( whole quilt) picture, will try again after the binding- hope I can find a couple people to hold them both up for good pictures.
the Chief quilt is for a young man graduating this year, the hockey quilt is for senior night for the hockey team.
The hockey quilt is really nice and straight, I just have it hung in front of the sliding glass door wonky.
Both will have orange bindings.

Hockey quilt was made from a pattern called Center Ice. The hockey player is appliqués.
The chief quilt I had to design using a picture that was sent to me on my phone.

You did a fine job with these.

pewa88 02-18-2017 10:21 AM

Great quilts. Gonna be some lucky fans for sure!

Pennyhal 02-18-2017 11:37 AM

Love the velveteen fabric you used. Fabulous quilts!

AUQuilter 02-18-2017 12:04 PM

Great quilts! One month, two jobs and they are done- that's a huge checkmark for the year.

osewme 02-18-2017 12:12 PM

Both quilts are amazing. I love the feathers on the chief quilt. Is that what is called thread painting?

BrendaK 02-18-2017 12:24 PM

Both are super. BrendaK

fred singer 02-18-2017 02:14 PM

both are very nicely done

I can't imagine working 2 jobs, family demands and making two fairly elaborate quilts in one months time. I am fortunate if I can complete 2 blocks in one month. Those are both great quilts.

EmiliasNana 02-18-2017 03:15 PM

Super impressed with your piecing and quilting. WOW. Did you have time to sleep and eat?

quiltingshorttimer 02-18-2017 05:28 PM

those are both so cool! Can't imagine how you did that in just about a month! Think you need to be voted "Mom of the year".

Sync 02-18-2017 07:27 PM

Awesome quilts, but I have to say that the hockey quilt is my fave.

Grandma Peg 02-18-2017 10:00 PM

Wanabee Quiltin 02-19-2017 03:18 AM

Holy Cow! You made two amazing quilts and with such a busy life. Congratulations.

jmoore 02-19-2017 03:36 AM

Awesome job on both...sometimes we work better under pressure. Now you can take a breath and have a glass of wine. : )

quilterpurpledog 02-19-2017 03:50 AM

Great quilts and done so quickly! You were ambitious to undertake two quilts when 'your plate was already full'. However, I know for myself that I am most productive when there are deadlines. How long does it take me to complete a task? However much time I have. I especially like the hockey player as I have a grandson who is a real fan of the Senators.

Sunny580 02-19-2017 04:14 AM

Wow! Great job and you deserve a break.

Karamarie 02-19-2017 05:40 AM

stitchingcrazy 02-19-2017 05:57 AM

You must have super powers to achieve those 2 beautiful quilts in such a short space of time. Well done. I am sure they will be much loved and appreciated.

Homespun 02-19-2017 06:17 AM

Wow, wow, amazing

Fizzle 02-19-2017 06:49 AM

Gosh, those are both amazing! Wow, I could not even get two done in that time frame, let alone those great appliqués!!! You are awesome! Great job....

KwiltyKahy 02-19-2017 06:55 AM

Beautiful. When do you sleep?

Chris Anders 02-19-2017 07:22 AM

Great work getting them done so quickly! I have always heard that if you want something done give it to someone who is busy.

velevteen fabric? No, just regular quilting cottons, some koan solids, some batiks, some prints. All regular cotton.
